These terms are an agreement between you and SnapCardValue ("we", "us") and govern your use of the SnapCardValue app and website. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.
1. What SnapCardValue does
SnapCardValue lets you photograph a trading card so the app can identify it and show an estimated market value based on available pricing data. It is an information tool for collectors and enthusiasts.
Not financial or appraisal advice. Values shown are estimates for information only. They are not a professional appraisal, an offer to buy or sell, or financial or investment advice. Always verify a card's condition and value independently before making any purchase or sale.
2. Eligibility & accounts
You must be at least 13 years old to use SnapCardValue. You are responsible for keeping your account secure and for activity that happens under it. Provide accurate information and let us know if you believe your account has been compromised.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the service for anything unlawful, or to infringe anyone's rights.
- Attempt to disrupt, overload, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the service.
- Scrape, resell, or redistribute pricing data or other content from the app in bulk.
- Upload content that is not a card you are scanning, or that is harmful or offensive.
4. Scans and content
You keep ownership of the photos you take. By scanning a card, you give us permission to process that image to identify the card and provide the service, as described in our Privacy Policy. You confirm you have the right to photograph the cards you scan.
5. Free and paid features
SnapCardValue offers a number of free scans, with additional features available through a paid subscription ("Pro"). Pricing, included features, and free limits may change; we'll make current terms clear before you pay. Where you purchase through an app store, that store's billing terms and refund policies also apply.
6. Availability
We work to keep the service running but do not guarantee it will always be available, uninterrupted, or error-free. Pricing data comes from third-party sources and may be incomplete, delayed, or unavailable for some cards. We may change, suspend, or discontinue features at any time.
7. Disclaimers
The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including that identifications or valuations will be accurate, complete, or fit for a particular purpose. You use the estimates at your own discretion and risk.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, SnapCardValue will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential losses, or for any loss arising from decisions made in reliance on an estimated value or identification. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
9. Termination
You may stop using the service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you breach these terms or misuse the service.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. When we make material changes we'll update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Continuing to use the service after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales will have jurisdiction, unless mandatory local consumer law in your country of residence provides otherwise.
